Here are documentation trees for most of the GNU Project software packages.
The GNU Project has recently disavowed all knowledge of some of these packages,
and they are now available as a sub-tree of the GNU mirror itself, in the non-gnu directory.
These pages are generated by various filters from the documentation source
that comes with the packages in question, and so may have some faults.
The source for these packages mostly comes from ftp://ftp.gnu.org/ which is
mirrored on SunSITE Alberta at:
ftp://sunsite.ualberta.ca/pub/Mirror/gnu/
The documentation here has been processed from the package sources, and is available in the following
formats for most of the packages:
- Texinfo, nroff, TeX, or LaTeX source
- PostScript (US Letter format)
- PDF (US Letter format)
- DVI
- HTML-ized man pages
- HTML in one monolithic file (sometimes huge)
- HTML split up into one file per chapter
- HTML split up into one file per info-node
- GNU info
